THE ESSENCE OF THE GREEK GODS

Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent is an “Eau de Toilette” for men belonging to the Aromatic Fougere family. It is a creation inspired by the gods of Ancient Greece and represents the strength and virility that characterized them. Strong men, willing to conquer and who are deeply committed to physical fitness.

This fragrance was created in 1981 by perfumer Pierre Bourdon. It all began with a trip by designer Yves Saint Laurent to Greece, where he was able to see the most famous sculptures of Greek Classicism. The Kouros (which gave its name to the fragrance) particularly caught his attention, as an emblem of Greek virility and the beauty standards of the time, with perfect proportions and defined muscles. It was then that he decided to pay tribute to that fascinating world with a perfume.

Its notes, all very special, create a unique combination intended to evoke the natural scent of a man, using ingredients as distinctive as wormwood, coriander, sage, honey, and vanilla, among the most notable.

KOUROS MAN. This man was an aesthetically perfect figure, passionate about the athletic competitions of his time. A passionate man who embodies the position of an alpha male.
